Human Intelligence

2026 – ongoing

Artificial intelligence is reshaping our relationship with work, raising questions that extend far beyond technology. As machines become increasingly capable of performing tasks once considered uniquely human, a more fundamental question emerges: what does it mean to be human today? Human Intelligence explores this question through portraiture. Rather than focusing on technological change, Nicolas Brunetti turns his attention to the people whose work embodies qualities such as presence, empathy, responsibility and care. Photographed frontally within their everyday environments, each subject is presented with the same dignity, regardless of profession or social status. The series invites viewers to look beyond occupations and encounter the individuals behind them, revealing how work can become identity, vocation and a way of relating to others. Rather than predicting which professions artificial intelligence will replace, Human Intelligence reflects on the human qualities that emerge through lived experience, relationships, responsibility and care. This ongoing project is ultimately a portrait of people living in a time of profound technological transformation. To see more about this project contact me.
